DIPLOMA ENTRANCE EXAMINATION(DEE)
- Diploma Entrance Examination (DEE) shall be conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education with the examination centre at Government Polytechnic Kohima and any Polytechnic as decided by the Director, Technical Education.
- Controller of Examination will be responsible for conducting DEE and also bringing out the Merit list of ITI/12th Passed Lateral entry.
- Tentative result (Merit List) of the Diploma Entrance Examination will be declared within one week from the date of entrance test.
- No manipulation or corruption will be allowed in any case.
- The said result will be declared or cross-checked by the following members noted below before the result is declared where 3 members shall form a quorum.
i) Additional Director, Technical Education – Convener
ii) One Officer from DTE (Not below the rank of Deputy Director)
iii) 2 faculties from GPK (Polytechnic nearest to DTE)
iv) COE member Secretary - Re-scrutiny of marks may be allowed for candidates on the recommendation of the Board.
- The selection for Candidates shall be based on the basis of Diploma Entrance test only. In the event of tie in marks among the candidates, Mathematics marks/portion from the entrance test paper shall be taken into account for working out the merit. For further tie in marks, Science portion marks/English/GK, in sequential order, in the entrance test will be considered for working out the merit.
- Placement of students to Polytechnics shall be done only against the vacancy seats which will be based on the preferences given by the students in the form.
- Placement of students against the seat/s vacated by selected candidates will be done on the basis of merit only.
- Change of preferences will not be allowed after the entrance test. However, if any student wishes to change their branch, he/she may do so after admission, provided there is a vacancy which shall be based on merit of entrance test.
- Reservation of Female, Non-local and PWD candidates will be as per reservation policy and merit.
